Palladium is the shell of choice for this magnificent watch from Vacheron Constantin’s Quai de L’lle series. The 41x44 case, the bezel and the lugs are all spun from palladium. The dial and transparent case back are protected by scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Laser-engraved Date numbers are filled with black ink within in the turning wheel. Beneath it a separate solid plate moves to create dynamic contrast. White gold forms micro-text around the date numbers, and the Glavanic growth of nickel processing has cultivated a pronounced presence from the 3, 6, 9 and 12 markers. There’s also a transparent film covering the dial and the case back. On the dial side the security film is patterned with concentric lines that can be used as a seconds track, while the pattern on the back is hundreds of Maltese Crosses and concentric circles. Inside the case is a Caliber 2460 rhodium movement beating at 28,800 vhp with 27 jewels and a 43-hour power reserve. The watch is water-resistant for 30 meters and has a black Alligator strap with deployment clasp. But don’t forget your passport! This document ensures the watch’s authenticity and uses many unique signature methods such as hot stamping, latent imaging, optical variations, offset printing, invisible ink and tranvision. The passport will be included with the manufacturer’s box & papers.
