Vacheron Constantin’s Quai Del L’lle series reveals yet another star. This model is loaded with titanium strength, from the lugs to the bezel to the 41x44 case. Inside is a Calibre 2460QH automatic movement with 27 jewels and a 43-hour power reserve. The dial and case back are transparent and protected by scratch-resistant sapphire quartz while revealing varying depths of detail. Galvanic growth of nickel process is applied to accentuate the 3, 6, 9 and 12 markers, and metallization creates the white gold forming micro-text around the date numbers. The laser-engraved date numbers are also filled with black ink, and indicated by the separate contrasting plate moving beneath the display. A transparent film is fixed to the front and back of the watch. The dial side of the film exhibits a pattern of concentric lines that doubles as seconds track. Film on the case back shows a pattern of hundreds of Maltese Crosses and concentric circles. Of course there’s also the familiar sight of hands measuring their respective indexes, and a black rubber band with deployment clasp. This watch is water-resistant for 30 meters and comes with its own passport. The passport uses several unique signature styles for authentication purposes, such as invisible ink, line engraving, offset printing, latent imaging, micro-printing, laser perforation, optical variable ink and transvision.
